Professional Weed Management Services
Blackberry, gorse and noxious weeds spread faster than most people expect. We knock them back with targeted spraying and brush cutting, then keep them back with a program that suits your property.
Weeds don’t wait for a good time.
A few canes of blackberry this spring turn into a thicket by next summer. Gorse drops seed that can sit in the soil for decades. Left alone, both choke your pasture, block access and push up your fire risk. In Victoria, landowners also have a legal responsibility to take reasonable steps to control declared noxious weeds on their land. We know the requirements under the Catchment and Land Protection Act, and we handle council-mandated weed control as well as private jobs.
PM TreeWorx has worked across the Macedon Ranges for more than 25 years. Our clients include rural landholders, wineries, schools, councils and homeowners, and we’ve completed work for Melbourne Water. The job might be a neglected back corner or a few hundred acres. We’ve got the gear and the experience for both.
What we treat
Blackberry / Gorse / Other declared noxious weeds

Our weed management methods
Brush cutting opens up dense growth so we can get to the problem. Targeted spraying deals with what’s left. For heavily overgrown country, we can bring in our land clearing and mulching equipment first.
Pick the plan that suits your property
-
One-off treatment to get a weed problem under control
-
Seasonal programs timed to when each weed is most vulnerable
-
Ongoing maintenance contracts so it stays under control
When to book
Timing makes a real difference to how well treatment works.
-
Spring (September to November): Gorse and emerging blackberry are actively growing, which makes this a great time to start.
-
Summer (December to March): Prime blackberry spraying season. If you’ve got blackberry, this is the window.
-
Autumn (March to May): Once you’ve had decent rain and plants are growing again, autumn is another strong window. Perennial weeds are drawing resources back down into their roots, which helps treatment do its job.
